“Do your best, always.” — Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements
I love that line because it reminds me that “our best” isn’t something we find later. It’s something we choose in small ways right now.
We all have a funny relationship with tomorrow.
Tomorrow I’ll work out.
Tomorrow I’ll be more patient.
Tomorrow I’ll start that habit I keep thinking about.
Tomorrow sounds great… until today shows up again.
What I’ve learned, both in life and through the work we do, is that progress doesn’t start with big declarations. It begins with tiny shifts. A small action that feels doable. Something you can say yes to without overthinking it.
A five-minute walk.
A slower breath before responding.
One moment of kindness.
Starting something you’ve been putting off.
Nothing dramatic. Nothing perfect. Just something real.
And those little steps have a way of building on themselves. They create momentum without pressure. They make you feel good about the day you’re actually living, not the one you keep imagining.
You don’t need a perfect moment to start.
You just need this one.
Life is good.
