United States Postal Service

BJ Bueno, Founder of The Cult Branding Company, served for 12 years on the United States Postal Service Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee, including 4 years as Chairman. During his tenure, he oversaw the creation of a thousand stamps. In his role, BJ leveraged his expertise in branding and consumer behavior to consult and guide the committee’s meetings, shaping the selection process of stamp subjects.

 

His leadership ensured that the stamps resonated with the public and reflected the nation’s diverse history and culture. BJ was instrumental in fostering productive discussions and achieving consensus among committee members.

For the U.S. Postal Service, Cult Branding helped bring wonder to everyday life through The Art of Magic Forever® stamps. Issued in 2018, the collection transformed classic illusions—levitation, transformation, vanishing, prediction, and production—into timeless visual stories. 

 

Designed to spark curiosity and national pride, the stamps celebrated magic as a shared cultural experience, proving that even the smallest canvas can create lasting emotional connection at scale.

United States Postal Service — Day of the Dead

With the Day of the Dead Forever® stamps, Cult Branding helped the USPS honor a deeply meaningful cultural tradition with dignity, vibrancy, and respect. Issued in 2021, the stamps celebrate Día de los Muertos as a life-affirming ritual—one that remembers ancestors, strengthens family bonds, and unites generations through shared symbols like sugar skulls, marigolds, and candlelit ofrendas.

 

This work reflects our approach to cultural storytelling at scale: translating heritage into iconic design that fosters pride, inclusion, and emotional connection across an entire nation.

With The Mighty Mississippi Forever® stamps, Cult Branding supported the USPS in honoring America’s most iconic waterway as both cultural symbol and economic lifeline. The 10-stamp photographic series traces the river’s 2,300-mile journey state by state—capturing landscapes, cities, commerce, and natural beauty that collectively tell the story of a nation shaped by one river.

To mark 50 years of Dungeons & Dragons, Cult Branding helped the USPS translate a global fandom into a bold, collectible cultural artifact. Unveiled at Gen Con, the 20-stamp Forever® series celebrates the imagination, storytelling, and community at the heart of D&D—bringing legendary characters, creatures, and iconic moments from the game’s history into everyday circulation.

With The Art of the Skateboard Forever® stamps, Cult Branding helped the USPS capture the raw creativity, independence, and cultural impact of skateboarding in America. Featuring bold deck designs by skateboarder-artists, the series celebrates skate culture as both sport and self-expression—rooted in community, rebellion, and artistic freedom.
