Life Gets Loud. Here’s What We’ve Been Building.

Life Gets Loud. Here’s What We’ve Been Building.

For years, I’ve written here about our need to feel seen, understood, and connected. Lately, I’ve been thinking about another need that is easy to overlook: the chance to pause.

So many of us are good at showing up for work, family, and the people who count on us. We keep going even when our minds are full and our bodies are asking for a moment of quiet. Somewhere in the middle of all that caring, we can forget to include ourselves.

Our team has been working on something close to our hearts. It’s called Tranquilito.

The name holds the feeling we wanted to create: a little more relaxed, a little more ease, a little more room to feel like yourself. Inspired by the warmth of Latino culture and the rhythm of the ocean, Tranquilito is a mindfulness app made in English and Spanish and open to everyone.

Inside the app are short guided experiences we call Olas. Each one gives you about five minutes to listen to a calming voice, hear the waves, breathe, and return to the moment you’re in.

We created Tranquilito because a pause should feel possible in real life: before a difficult conversation, between meetings, at the end of a long day, or whenever everything feels a little too loud.

If that sounds like a moment you could use, I’d love for you to try what we’ve made. Download Tranquilito on the App Store, take your first Ola, and tell us how it feels.

And if someone you love has been carrying a lot lately, perhaps send them this invitation too.

Take five minutes. They’re yours.

Respira,

BJ Bueno
